ESRET 3501: Introduction to Energy Studies
The aim of the course is to introduce students to energy resources.
ESRET 3502: Solar Radiation
The aim of the course is to ground students in the principles of solar radiation.
ESRET 3503: Elementary Statistics and Probability
The aim of the course is to introduce and develop the theory of probability, to see how theory can be applied to real life and to show its close association with statistics.
ESRET 3504: Electronics
The aim of the course is to ground students in the area of semi conductor physics, basic electronic theory and photovoltaic principles.
ECO 3503: Communication Studies I
The aim of the course is to equip students with various techniques they can use to study most effectively in the university and to cope with the demands of university assessment.
Second Semester (Semester 6)
ESRET 3601: Industrial Studies
Topics to be covered include contracts and contract law, supervision and motivation, group dynamics, communication skills, industrial psychology, occupational health and safety, marketing.
ESRET 3602: Solar Photo Thermal
The aim of the course is to ground students in the principles of solar photo thermal.
ESRET 3603: Statistics II
The aim of the course is to introduce and to develop the theory of sampling techniques, hypothesis and data testing and statistical inference.
ESRET 3604: Hydro Power
The aim of the course is to ground students in the principles of hydro power generation and distribution.
ESCO 3605: Communication Studies II
To enable students demonstrate Different types of academic writing Skills and integration of writing and speaking skills.

First Semester (Semester 7)
ESRET 4701: Biomass
The aim of the course is to ground students in principles of biomass energy production and technologies.
ESRET 4702: Wind Power
The aim of the course is to ground students in principles of wind power generation and distribution.
ESRET 4703: Geothermal Energy and Wave Power
The aim of the course is to equip students with knowledge and skills on geothermal energy and wave power.
ESRET 4705: Renewable Energy Systems
The aim of the course is to equip students with basic knowledge and skills of analyzing integrated Renewable Energy Systems.
Second Semester (Semester 8)
ESRET 4801: Project Management
To enable students acquire project management skills
ESRET 4802: Business Management
The aim of the course is to instil business operation principles.
ESRET 4803: Environmental Management
To equip students with knowledgeand skills necessary for managing the environment and to instil in the students the values of safeguarding the environment.
ESRET 4804: Energy Management II
To equip students with basic knowledgeand skills of Energy Management
ESRET 4805: Research Project
The aim of the Project is to enable students apply aspects of knowledge and skills gained in the programme by conducting a project that will generate new knowledge and practices in the energy field.
