About Us
TCRET is a centre of excellence at Mzuzu University. Its main aim is to promote renewable energy technologies through training, testing and research. It is in the Department of Energy Studies which is currently offering BSc in Renewable Energy Technologies (Mature Entry). It is expected that it will start a BSc in Energy Studies by April 2009.
Solar Water Pumping
The use of solar water pumping improves the economic status of the poor.
The systems can be used to supply portable water or for small scale irrigation purposes. The payback period is less than 5yrs.
